A Message from DGK Office
February 1, 2008
Nowadays, we are performing Phurba rituals for 5 days. It started from 31st January, which is 24th dayof Tibetan 12th Month. We feel very fortunate that H.E. Khamtrul Rinpoche Jigme Pema Nyinjadh was here to join us in the ritual. Rinpoche blessed the offering (Chod Pei Jinlab) and left for Bairo Ling Monastery after the first session of the ritual in the next morning. Today, Rinpoche left for Bhutan. We pray that Rinpoche has arrived safely by now.
Kunga Rinpoche is the main person presiding over the rituals from the start. We are also very happy to have a western nun, Khandro, from France, among us in the practice.
The Phurba rituals will be concluding on 5th February, which is the 29th day of Tibetan 12th month. After this, we all, brothers and sisters of Druk Gawa Khilwa will celebrate Tibetan New Year, commonly known as "Losar".
On behalf of all the lay and ordained followers of His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa and the Drukpa Lineage, and the nuns of Druk Gawa Khilwa Nunnery on Druk Amitabha Mountain, we would like to prostrate before His Holiness, our root guru and we would like to offer our body, speech and mind, to wish His Holiness a forthcoming happy and prosperious Losar.
We are also making supplication prayers for our guru to live long for the benefit of his devotees and all mother sentient beings. We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy Losar, may the Earth Mouse Year bring success and wish-fulfillment in all of your activities.
With prayers and warm greetings,
DGK Office
