Druk Amitabha Mountain, Kathmandu, Nepal

Druk Gawa Khilwa (DGK) in Kathmandu, Nepal, is effectively the administration office for the nunneries and management office for the construction projects on the sites of the nunneries. The office is managed by three of us: Jigme Rigzin Lhamo (General Manager), Jigme Yudron Lhamo and Jigme Tanzin, both are Assistant Managers.

The project management team is led by one of His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa's trusted monks, Wangchuk, and a nun, Jigme Thupsten who used to a police officer in Jammu and Kashmir, both of them work together with our office, to see to the timely completion of all our construction projects currently in progress.

There are currently 200 nuns on Druk Amitabha Mountain. Our schedule starts early at 3am and finishes at 10 or 11pm, everyday.

As DGK is very near to Swayambhunath Stupa, we go for lamp offering, circumambulation and practices on holy days, for the benefits of all beings.

We also performed a few Drubchens a year.

We welcome everyone interested in spiritual life to visit us.
