7th Cycle Yatra to Mustang
After four years gap Cycle Yatra in action again. A joyful effort to spread the message of eco-friendly ways of living and gender equality, World peace. This is also an Initiative to raise awareness on climate changes which is causing disasters worldwide. Joined by The Gyalwang Drukpa and 200 Nuns and monks.




Installation of Electrical Switchboard
Nuns who have been trained in electrical work supervise the install of a new main switchboard at the Druk Amitabha Mountain. This is one of the main distribution boards that supply most of the original buildings at Druk Amitabha Mountain and this new board will help improve reliability and enable distribution of solar energy.









Rescue Animals and Pets
Druk Amitabha Mountain has a number of rescued Aniamls from India and Nepal as well as some other indoor pets that live with the nuns.




















Cleaning Local Holy Site
Drukpa Nuns cycle to some of the ancient Buddhist shrines in the Kathmandu valley and carryout cleaning and maintenance work to keep these sites in good condition.














Growing Food
Drukpa Nuns grow food in greenhouses or the bare fields around the Druk Amitabha Moutain, these edible crops help supplement the daily food demands of the Abbey and help with sustainability. They also take help from the local farmers who have a lot of experience with organic farming in the area.
